over the rooftops
Would cropping some of the top off of this one make it better?

A very fine and atmospheric photo that I would not re-crop.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Ok, thanks Larry.
Nice one Laura. I wouldn't crop top off of it...like the colours, very atmospheric.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: I woke up and looked at it and can't really remember why I thought it should be cropped a little yesterday....sometimes I go overboard in the cropping department....
Thanks!
No crop Laura. This is perfect as is. Great atmosphere here!
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks Richard.
This is just perfect, don't crop, but you already know
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Okay, Astrid, I will resist cropping especially since I don't remember why I thought I should crop a bit off...I don't see it the same way today as I did last evening, I guess. Thanks.
awesome photo
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks Chantal!
I'd leave it as is. It gives a sense of height to the trees. Very nice capture, by the way.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks Martin.
Thank you for appearing this wonderful photo, you have captured a beautiful moment.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks Santi.
to be honest i would have cropped that solid dark bit out on the right but thats only my opinion, think if you took some off the top you would lose that sense of height, super stuff Laura never the less
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks. Yeah I almost cropped the tree away on the right but then decided with the frame it looked ok....it's hard because once you start cropping, it is difficult to stop and sometime I end up with very little!
Thanks for checking it out.
Nice photo. No crop necessary.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks!
Moi, je trouve cette vue d'ensemble parfaite.
Une atmosphère que j'aime bien.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks!
I would not crop the top, Laura. Nice to see the moon peeking out of the trees and through the clouds.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters:
Beautiful silhouettes ... Isn't it the moon ? Well done ...
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: I think it was the sun trying to muscle its way through the clouds yesterday but in the photo it looks more like the moon so I just let it go when someone said 'moon' earlier. Thanks for checking it out. It was late in the day and facing the west so I believe this was the sun.
I like it the way it is!
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Thanks for checking it out.
Shall I crop? Where shall I crop? Those two questions are possibly the hardest to answer, and the only person who can decide is you, because everybody else will have different opinions.
I like the picture as it is, with the moon low down, but you could crop almost square and then end up with a completely different scene.
Laura, a.k.a. Pristine Waters: Yeah, the thought of making it more square did occur to me. You're right that the usually isn't a right or wrong answer with cropping...it's just what seems right at the time. I am an avid cropper, though, and like the image to be as simple as possible so if I see something that seems to interfere with the object of my photo, I sometimes crop extensively. Thanks for your input.
Very atmodpheric Laura. I'd leave it as it is.
Nice shot Laura!
